What is WISE Connect?
WISE Connect is a social impact organization empowering adults to live well, have fun, and be independent. It consists of a nationwide network of activities, resources, and places covering everything from experiences to helpful support for healthy aging, all brought together on our website www.wiseconnect.us.
Do I need to download WISE Connect to use it?
You do not need to download WISE Connect. Just type www.wiseconnect.us into your browser search bar and it will open. You can use it on any device, including smartphones, tablets, and computers.
Do I need to create an account to use WISE Connect?
You can use WISE Connect to find local activities, resources, and programs without an account by visiting the website. However, creating a free account and becoming a WISE Member comes with many perks, such as unique discounts from vetted partners, helpful features like saved resource lists and personalized resource suggestions, and access to our nationwide community through forums, friend chats, and more!
Is WISE Connect free?
WISE Connect is free. You do not need to pay to become a WISE Member, but there are certain purchases you can make through the website, like ordering a ride or paying for a class.
What are WISE Events?
WISE Events are social events provided directly by WISE Connect through a team of local event hosts. They include coffee socials, board game meets, walking groups, educational sessions, movie theater trips, art workshops, and much more. If there’s an activity you would love to see happen, let us know and we’ll do our best to add it to the local calendar.
Who is eligible to join WISE Events?
While WISE Connect’s activities and website are tailored for adults over 55, everyone who is looking to stay engaged and connected is welcome! It’s encouraged for people bring friends, family members, or neighbors.
Can I host events?
You will soon be able to publish and host your own events on WISE Connect as a Community Host. In the meantime, if you’d like to be come an official WISE Host and work directly with WISE Connect to bring these activities to your area, you can email host@wiseconnect.us with your interest.
Does WISE Connect own all of the events on its website?
No, WISE Connect is an aggregator. Most of the activities and services listed on WISE Connect are provided by vetted organizations in the WISE Provider Network. WISE Connect just helps people find what they are looking for more easily. Any offerings owned by WISE Connect will have our company logo on them.
Why should I trust WISE Connect?
WISE Connect takes security and privacy very seriously. The site doesn’t ask for unnecessary information, sell personal information, or allow ads. All providers are thoroughly vetted before being listed, and cannot reach out directly to users. All WISE Hosts go through a background check before hosting events.
